Computer Services

Well… Since I decided to build a computer for a friend (*cough* Kirmorgany (yeah i just made a mashed up name) *cough*) for a price, it seemed like it could be a rewarding job.

PLE Computers and other franchises charge LOADS of cash to build and upgrade computers (PLE = $80 an HOUR, usually takes 2-3 hours…), so I thought I might start offering to build for a cheaper price of around $50 flat rate per job (doesn’t matter how many parts and stuff to swap/attach/make). That seems acceptable to me!

If anyone is looking for upgrades or new computer builds contact me at (dribbsfindlay@gmail.com) or on the Forums.

I am also offering the service of locating parts for a computer manually. This is a lot cheaper than heading down to your local computing store (Harvey Norman, Nerd shop, etc..) and buying a pre-built PC.

Pre-built PCs are usually A LOT more expensive than buying each part individually and they are aimed at people who don’t know much about parts and costs of each part so they get ripped off.

So I am offering a building, upgrading, and, well I guess you could say “quoting” service (where I make a PC for you for a cheaper price than a store would sell pre-built). Contact me in the previous email for these services, and PLEASE, think before buying, I love to help so message me at my email or on the forums if you want to upgrade or buy a new system.

THANKS GUYS!

The Word of Notch: Multiplayer status update

Today, I implemented destroyed blocks dropping resources for all players and a whole bunch of infrastructure such as automatically sending entities in chunks when the player gets close, and removing them when they leave, and a very nice method for predicting block changes clientside in a secure…

Very very soon comes the multiplayer… WOOHOO!

Alien Swarm

So I saw this new game this morning (Alien Swarm) and it is free of charge so I just clicked download. Turns out, IT IS FREAKING AWESOME.

Alien Swarm is a 4-Player Co-op game (like l4d) that has levels like Call of Duty 4 and teamwork that you have never seen! There is a canvas map (meaning you can draw on it and draw out plans as a team) and you can weld doors shut! There are also sentry guns, freeze rays, assault rifles, chain guns, shot guns, electricity rifles and many more awesome things…

I recommend you ALL go download it off steam and play it. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

The one down side is that there aren’t enough maps at the moment (theres about 6 all up) but there are modding tools and I am pretty sure Valve will keep updating it.

PS: It gave me an alien hat in TF2 :D

Music…

Thinking of learning an instrument!

Maybe piano, bass, or drums. Not sure yet!

Sam and I really wanna get some covers done to some good songs and have Steve sing but I gotta find the right instrument for myself first. Hopefully our first cover will be “Another one bites the Dust” by Queen. I am SURE you all know it hehe!

Oh boy will this be fun…

Fresh Start

So today I decided I would work on my website and add a blog and other components and it seems like it will turn out to be quite enjoyable. I don’t really know how to blog so I am just gonna say what I have done so far.

I am using OpenOffice as a change to my usual (notepad :P hehe) so it might mix things up a bit! For now the site will look like crap but it will function just fine for what I am intending to do at the moment, which is actually launching it.

Check out my To Do List and have a post on the Forums if you feel like it, they are there for public use now.

And it begins…
